I specially booked APA hotel to watch Tsukiji market tuna action at 4am.
This hotel cost a hundred bucks more than Agora Place Asakusa but for the tuna auction and those seafood meals, it's worth it.

After checked in, we walked to reckee around Tsukiji market. It is one straight road and approximately 10min walk from APA hotel to Tsukiji market. It is important to reckee the day before the auction day as you do not have time to run around looking for Osakana Fukyu Center (Fish Information Center) at the Kachidoki Gate at 4am in the morning. Auction is limited to 120 pax a day, sorry for those who came late. Auction starts from 5.30am but queue starts from 3.30am on first come first serve basis, by 4.45am all seats are taken up, so be early.
Tsukiji Market (築地市場, Tsukiji Shijō) is a large wholesale market for fish, fruits and vegetables. Tsukiji Market is best known as one of the world's largest fish markets, handling over 2,000 tons of marine products per day.
Seafood so cheap!
Legendary 寿司大, look at the queue!
Lunch at Nakaya 仲家, known for their wide selection of donburi. 仲家 also have a queue around 10am, we waited about 40min before our turn.
Colorful selection of seafood, took us a long time to select.
I know i am in for Uni, highly recommended by Sharon Kow, indeed the one in Tsukiji tasted so sweet.
Upgrade any toro (medium fat) tuna to otoro (fatty) tuna.
All Tsukiji market restaurants consist of 2 to 3 chef and a long table serving maximum 10 customers a time.
Husband ordered the popular no.12, mixed seafood donburi. The ultimate dream bowl with everything.
I ordered no. 2, Uni ikura otoro (sea urchin, salmon roe and fatty tuna) set, top up 400yen for upgrade.
Lunch was surprisingly good, we truly enjoyed donburi, more than sushi actually.

Tokyo tower, brings back many Japanese drama memories for me and hubby. Hubby is also used to be a big fan of Jdrama, specially 木村拓哉 Kimura Takuya.
Tokyo tower looks good in Lomography.
With 333 meters, Tokyo Tower (東京タワー) is 13 meters taller than its model, the Eiffel Tower of Paris, and the world's tallest self-supporting steel tower. It was completed in the year 1958 as a symbol for Japan's rebirth as a major economic power, and serves as a television and radio broadcast antenna and tourist attraction. Visitors can ascend to the main observatory at 150 meters and the special observatory at 250 meters to get a bird's eye view of Tokyo. Under good weather conditions, Mount Fuji can be seen in the distance.

Traveled to Odaiba (お台場), a popular shopping and entertainment district on a man made island in Tokyo Bay. It originated as a set of small man made fort islands (daiba literally means "fort"), which were built towards the end of the Edo Period (1603-1868) to protect Tokyo against possible attacks from the sea and specifically in response to the gunboat diplomacy of Commodore Perry.
